Dating sites have for a long time been a go to lace for single people to meet other folk in the same situation. Maybe exchange some messages online, swap phone numbers, chat and then if everything goes well, plan to meet up. The dating game has changed though, since the pandemic made many changes to our everyday lives. So, how will dating sites change in our post lockdown world and how can we continue to connect with people were attracted to with restrictions in place? Lets take a look.

Video Chat

Connecting via video was already getting more and more popular but dating sits will no doubt be implementing ways for their users to have some screen time together. When you set up your profile these dating sites might ask for access to the camera on your laptop or phone so you can easily have a video call with someone at the touch of a button. Doing it through the dating site itself helps you stay safer in the first place as you wont need to give personal phone numbers or anything like that. If you’re not happy, you could hang up and perhaps even report it. Safety is key at the end of the day. The logical next step is video conversations but there has to be some rules and regulations surrounding that to help keep safety a priority.

Test Before You Meet

Something else that sites might need to think about is testing for Covid-19 before people meet up. As we all have responsibilities to keep this virus at bay, testing before meeting new people could be implemented. There are lots of people who have been missing the thrill of no strings dating and in order to get back to somewhere near that we must all do our bit. If you can prove you’ve not got Coronavirus and your potential partner can do the same, one night stands could be on the cards once more.

Bubbles & Isolation

At the moment the one night stand is fraught with potential side affects. Whilst sex dating sites are helping people reconnect to the dating scene after much time away, they might suggest and enforce isolation from the site if you have met up with someone and slept together. Hook ups in bubbles might be something tat has to happen. We might even see track and trace that we find at restaurants move over to the world of dating.

We’ve all been missing connections and that feeling of human contact a lot. But to get back to that and to take that human connection to another level with someone we’re attracted to, we must use dating sites which are making a difference and helping us adapt to this new way of dating. There might be a whole heap of other changes coming to your favourite dating site but it’s to keep us all safe. Finding a partner might be the easy part of dating these days, with all the safety and health issues surrounding it the difficult part.
