It’s no secret that the high street seems to be on it’s backside more than ever before. Lockdown has caused all sorts of issues for companies and as we start coming out of it, more and more jobs are being lost and companies are entering administration. Even before that though, it was a struggle, as the demise of Mothercare shows. We loved Mothercare, especially chatting to the knowledgeable staff and buying cute clothing for our kids. With that said, one of our favourite brands was Little Bird at Mothercare. Now it’s gone, can you still buy it anywhere?

What Is The Brand Little Bird?

The brand of clothing called Little Bird was exclusive to Mothercare. Designed by Jamie Oliver’s wife Jools, the clothing was well loved by parents up and down the land. Retro designs, unique mottos, beautiful and bold colouring. Cutely illustrated scenes, gorgeous pyjamas, items available from first baby sizes up to older children.

Where Can You Buy It?

Little Bird at Mothercare isn’t available anymore because of the closure of the stores. This doesn’t mean you can’t buy it from elsewhere though. There is a well ran Facebook group of Little Bird fans who sell their clothes on when their children have outgrown them. You can join the Facebook group here and begin searching for different outfits that are obviously no longer in stock anywhere.

Items might end up in job lots and you can likely sell them on for more than you buy them for, if they’re in good condition. It’s worth noting that charity shops often get them in too, so keep an eye there.

There are other fantastic retailers who sell well made, hard wearing clothing in a range of different designs. These obviously aren’t Little Bird but some of them are still cute and love able. Trying shopping with Joules. They have amazing kids clothes and you can get 20% off by using thisĀ link. Check supermarket clothing sections as they often have affordable and amazing kids clothes. There are a number of unique boutique style companies who have stepped in and continue to make similar beautiful clothing so check the likes of Etsy. I’ve also included a link below to Kids Around. Where Does Little Bird Go From Here?

Apparently, Little Bird was going to become on sale at Boots. This was after a potential deal was set up with Mothercare selling their items within the retail chain. Whether or not that happens though, remains to be seen. if you have old Little Bird clothing to sell, you can make some good money for it. Similarly, if you’re missing buying Little Bird from Mothercare, there are ways and means of getting your hands on it.
