I find that my everyday life is full of moments where I can be creative. That is hugely down to the fact that I took the opportunity to become self employed, which worked. However it’s also because I surround myself with dreamers, creative people who have similar ambitions and thoughts as me and I also enjoy trying new things. I this post I want to touch on a few different ways I am creative in everyday life and mention a number of the resources that help me do what I do.

Photography
I adore photography. It’s a passion which I turned into a side hustle. I am able to get out and about during the week, occasionally in my camper van, visiting different places and making behind the scenes YouTube videos of my photography adventures. I’m no expert in any area of photography but I like to learn. There’s a video background to my life too and I like to combine that with my love of being behind the camera. Capturing footage which I can then edit. Seeing projects through from that birth of an idea to it being complete and out there for the world to see is something I thrive on. I love being able to use downloadable mock ups to present the images that I capture. This allows me to present my photographs in an appealing way, one which lets the potential buyer see the image on a wall and in a frame. This is a great benefit and completely integral to gaining sales.
Blogging
Blogging is something I fell into. I wanted somewhere I could, I suppose, catalogue my thoughts and ideas about saving money. This was simply shared with friends and family, if that! To be honest I was a little embarrassed about it at first. It can seem like a rather egomaniac thing to do, put yourself out there. However it’s the creativity that won in the end. The ideas and copywriting is the part of it I’m good at but I needed to make the website look appealing and professional. This is when downloadable resources are key. You can download various fonts, flat lays, backgrounds, logos and even a paper cut template should you need one for a project. Being able to have a reliable bank of resources that are just a few clicks away makes everything that little bit less stressful.
Homeschooling
As many people have, we were given the opportunity to try homeschooling for the last few months. We always considered homeschooling and we jumped at the chance of giving it a go without actually committing to it. Whilst I think the school life is going to work for the kids in the long run, when things get back to normal, we’ve been able to get creative with different ways of approaching homeschooling. As well as figuring our ways through maths and science for seven year olds (how did I ever do that!?) we were able to be show them new ways of figuring out problems. Help them see how certain things are designed and developed and also allow them to get creative themselves with artistic projects.

Family Life
We love doing projects as a family too. The children love making scrapbooks, getting creative and designing gift cards to send to their nearest and dearest. During lockdown this was so important as it gave them a connection to their friends and we could enjoy a walk to the post box to drop the cards off. We’re definitely a creative family and finding resources online to aid and assist that, on top of the skills that we have, is a great thing to find. We’re capable of doing many things but when you have three children, any helping hand is a wonderful and welcome addition.
Creative Conclusion
Hopefully by now, at this point in the blog post you’ve come to see just how important creativity is to me. Just how integral it is part of my everyday life, both at work and at home. If you love being creative but aren’t sure just where to start, there are loads of ways to get inspired and perhaps get a jump start down the creative highway. You can download bundles which can help you create those important birthday party invitations, mock up your photography to sell to the public or give your blog a brand new makeover. Whatever you need help with, you can find it and it’s closer than you perhaps think. Have fun being creative!
